CLUBSAIL BARE BOAT YACHT AND POWERBOAT CHARTER IN TENERIFE

Introduction

In addition to RYA approved Sailing and Powerboat courses, Club Sail also offers skippered and bareboat yacht charters, as well as Powerboat Charters. All our boats are based in the new Marina San Miguel – ideally located for exploring the western Canary Islands, or if you have two weeks available a far a field as Lanzarote.

Powerboat: RIB Charter

Our Bombard 550 RIBs are available for charter. All you need is an ICC! Fully equipped and inspected by the RYA these RIBS are fitted out to a high standard – both in terms of equipment and safety to MCA standards. Click here for more details.

Yacht Charter

Since the arrival of our new 2007 model yachts (a Hanse 400e and a pair of Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39i’s) Clubsail has spilt its yachts into two groups: Classic and Club Class.

Chartering a yacht in Tenerife makes the most of the Canary Islands year round sunshine. Temperatures between the seasons vary only some 6ºC, the monthly average temperatures are from 24º C to 18º January – ideal for those winter sun holidays. Ideal bathing conditions are available throughout the year. Due to the islands geographical location, some 4º from the tropic of cancer and very close to the African coast, the islands' climate is subtropical. The surprising landscape, with high mountains covered by snow very close to the beaches, is an additional attraction. Water temperature varies from 22º C in summer to 19º C in winter.

We run weekly charters from Friday to Friday to take into account the large number of flights to Tenerife South airport on this day. If you want a skippered charter for a couple of days, or a week, then this can also be arranged.

Please note that all our boats are commercially registered in Spain and meet both Spanish, and the RYA’s safety standards.

A lot of our clients have asked for more space and better equipped yachts hence the new Club Class.

The Hanse has colour television in the saloon and DVD player, microwave and cockpit cushions. She certainly deserves the accolade of European yacht of the year 2006! The Sun Odyssey was featured in May’s Sailing Today – and described as “grace, space and pace”, “this 39’ from Jeanneau is as easy to handle as a 30-footer, but with the accommodation of a 45-footer” with “luxurious and spacious accommodation”.

What we include on our Yacht Charters:

Club Sail offers a comprehensive service which includes the following:

- Transfers from and to Tenerife South airport – no additional costs or waiting around for a taxi;
- Bedding and towels – no need to bring your own;
- Light weight waterproofs – just in case;
- Welcome pack – a bottle of wine, some olives, loaf of bread, tea, coffee, sugar, some milk and butter.
- Gas;
- ¼ tank Diesel oil – enough for a normal week;
- Dingy and outboard;
- “British style” lifejackets;
- Cleaning prior to and after your charter – so no hidden costs.

We do not include: flights or travel insurance.
